Kyvos Dialogs Enhancements
This release includes the following enhancements to Kyvos Dialogs:
Business Relationship Graph for AI Reasoning-Beta
This release introduces Business Relationship Graph, a new Kyvos entity for defining relationships between business entities like dimensions, measures (KPIs) and external entities (like business policies, and external events). A graph consists of nodes and relations (edges) and provides enterprise context that helps AI agents answer ‘WHY’ type of questions, provide accurate root cause analysis (RCA), and answer recommendation-related questions.
AI Context Support in Quick Data Modeling
This release enhances Quick Data Modeling with AI Context support. Users can select an existing AI Space or create a new one, define business context for the AI Space and semantic model, and add column-level metadata to the semantic model.
Additional Feature Enhancements
BI Tools Connectivity using Kyvos PostgreSQL Connector- Beta
This release introduces a major connectivity enhancement for Kyvos semantic models with support for the PostgreSQL Connector. This support enables Kyvos semantic models to connect to BI tools that support PostgreSQL connectivity, substantially expanding the range of BI tools that can connect to Kyvos.
In this release, users can connect to the following supported BI tools:
Note: Kyvos will continue to expand PostgreSQL-based connectivity to additional BI tools, further broadening the range of analytics tools that can connect to Kyvos Semantic Models.
Kyvos MCP Server Enhancements
This release includes the following Kyvos MCP Server 2.4.0 enhancements:
Business Relationship Support in Kyvos MCP Server
This release adds support for thekyvos_lookup_business_relationshiptool in the Kyvos MCP Server, enabling users to work with business relationships in Kyvos.
Enhancements to Kyvos Git
This release includes the following enhancements to Kyvos Git:
Automatic Change Detection for Git Operations: Users can now automatically detect changes in entities during push and pull operations. This simplifies synchronization by eliminating the need to manually identify changed entities.
SSH Key Pair Authentication for Git Providers: SSH key pair authentication is now supported for Bitbucket, GitHub, and GitLab, in addition to the existing supported Git providers.
Apache Ossie YAML Files Import Support for Creating Semantic Model
This release supports creating semantic models from Apache Ossie YAML files using Quick Data Modeling. Users can import a supported YAML file, configure the required connection and folder details, and enable AI Context during semantic model creation to add AI-specific business context to the semantic model.
Enhanced Kyvos Web Portal Navigation
This release enhances the Kyvos Web Portal navigation by organizing related use cases into logical groups and adding a use case search. Users can easily navigate through related use cases, browse them within their respective groups, and quickly find the required use case.
Enhanced Column-Level Security
This release enhances Column-Level Security with support for AND/OR conditions for column restrictions and introduces Intersection Mode for resolving restrictions across user groups. To configure the column restriction resolution strategy, specify the required value for the CLS_RESOLUTION_STRATEGY property.
Intersection (OR): Users get the intersection of restrictions from all groups, providing the most permissive access based on group memberships.
Union (AND): Users get the union of all restrictions from all groups, providing the most restrictive access.
Enhanced Semantic Model Access Control
This release enhances validation of semantic model-level privileges when models are accessed through shared AI Spaces, ensuring that users can access and query only the models for which they have the required permissions. The enhanced validation applies across Kyvos Dialogs, conversational interactions, MCP, Microsoft Teams, and Slack.
Upgraded Apache Tomcat Version
Kyvos and Kyvos Manager have been upgraded to Apache Tomcat 10.1.60.
Cloud Support Enhancements
This release includes the following AWS, Azure, and GCP enhancements:
Multiple Data Export Directories for Data Source Connections
This release supports configuring multiple data export directories within a semantic model, allowing each data source connection to use its own configured export location. This is useful when datasets use different data source connections, such as Amazon Athena, Snowflake, and BigQuery, with different customer storage locations for data export.Vertex AI Service Account Credentials in Secret Manager
This release supports providing the Google Service Account JSON directly when configuring a Vertex AI connection and securely storing the credential in Secret Manager in encrypted form, eliminating the need to place the JSON file on the server.Non-SSH Kyvos Cluster Deployment Support for AWS and GCP
With this release, users can deploy and manage the lifecycle of Kyvos clusters without requiring SSH access to cluster nodes for AWS and GCP.
AWS Enhancements
General Purpose SSD (gp3) Disk Type Support for AWS Enterprise Deployments
This release adds General Purpose SSD (gp3) as a disk type option for Kyvos deployments.
Note: All new Amazon RDS instances created through automated deployments use gp3 disk type by default.
Azure Enhancements
Query Engine Segmentation and Planner for Azure
This release supports Query Engine Segmentation for Azure, enabling independent management of Query Engines by workload or use case. Each segment can use a separate Azure Virtual Machine Scale Set (VMSS), with semantic models mapped to the appropriate segment to isolate workloads and their Query Engine resources. The new Planner capability enables segment-level elasticity through independent scaling schedules, capacity settings, and scaling behavior, allowing resources to scale based on workload requirements.
GCP Enhancements
BigQuery Service Account Private Key JSON Stored in Secret Manager
This release supports providing the Google Service Account private key JSON directly while configuring a BigQuery warehouse connection. The private key is securely stored in encrypted form in Secret Manager.
Kyvos Manager Enhancements
Support for Dedicated ZooKeeper Nodes
Kyvos now supports deploying ZooKeeper on dedicated nodes, independent of the Kyvos Manager, Web Server, and BI Server nodes. For post-deployment and post-upgrade configurations, users can now select the nodes on which ZooKeeper can be deployed.
Querying Enhancements
Case-Insensitive Member Resolution in CUBEMEMBER Function
This release enhances theCUBEMEMBERfunction to resolve member names consistently and case-insensitively, whether the complete hierarchy path or only the leaf-level member is specified. To enable this capability, add the ‘kyvos.query.casesensitive.memberresolution’ property under ‘Advanced Properties’ on the ‘Refine’ tab and set it to ‘Disable.’Note: The default value is Enable, which preserves the existing case-sensitive member resolution behavior.
Non-Visual Totals Support in Excel
This release adds support for Non-Visual Totals in Excel, enabling totals to be calculated independently of the filters applied to the visual.
Semantic Model Enhancements
Task Count for Semantic Model Jobs: This release adds support for displaying the total number of tasks launched for each job in the job details, enabling users to review task counts after the job is completed and analyze resource utilization across semantic model process to support efficient resource planning and improve overall business resource analysis.
New Properties
This release comes with the following new property:
CLS_RESOLUTION_STRATEGY (olapengine.properties): Defines the column-level security resolution strategy for restrictions across multiple groups, where UNION combines restrictions from all groups and INTERSECTION applies only the restrictions common to all groups.
ENABLE_KYVOSPGBI_SERVER (globals.properties): Enables the Kyvos PostgreSQL Analytical Server in the Kyvos web application.
API Enhancements
This release comes with the following REST API enhancements:
JSON input support for Kyvos REST APIs
This release supports JSON-based inputs for the following existing Kyvos REST APIs while maintaining backward compatibility with existing XML-based inputs and behavior:New APIs
This release includes the following new APIs:Business Relationship APIs: Supports Business Relationship APIs for managing Business Relationships. These APIs enable users to create, copy, validate, update, move, and delete Business Relationships, as well as retrieve related information such as source models and folders.
Git Pull API: Supports a Git Pull API for Git connections that pulls entities and files from the configured Git repository into Kyvos in a single request.
