Overview
The Cluster Deployment Status page shows the result of a cluster deployment, together with the log messages produced while it ran. Use this page to confirm that a deployment completed successfully and, when it did not, to identify which node and which operation failed.
The page has two tabs:
Cluster Details — cluster deployment details, which can help you to monitor the status of a Kyvos cluster deployment.
Logs — every message recorded during the deployment, which can be searched and filtered.
If the deployment did not complete, the following message is displayed at the top of the page: Error in cluster deployment.
Column | Description |
|---|---|
# | The sequence number of the log entry. The most recent entry is listed first. |
Date | The date and time the entry was recorded, in UTC. |
Node | The IP address of the node that produced the entry. |
Log Level | The severity of the entry, such as Error or Warning. Error entries are displayed in red. |
Message | The text of the entry, including the property or operation involved and the reason for any failure. |
Viewing the deployment status
To view the status of a cluster deployment, perform the following steps:
Check the banner at the top of the page. A message is displayed here only if the deployment failed.
Click the Cluster Details tab to view the configuration of the deployed cluster.
Click the Logs tab to view the messages recorded during deployment.
Investigating a failed deployment
Important
Resolve all deployment errors before proceeding with the deployment. If you need assistance identifying or resolving an error, contact Kyvos Support with the relevant error message and deployment logs.
To identify the cause of a failed deployment, perform the following steps:
Click the Logs tab.
From the Filter by list, select Error. To include warnings, select Warning as well.
From the and Node list, select a node to view entries from that node only. Leave this empty to view entries from all nodes.
Review the Message column for the failed operation. Each message names the property or operation involved and the reason for the failure.
Note the value in the Node column to identify which node reported the problem. The same failure is often recorded separately for each node.
Correct the underlying problem on the affected nodes, then redeploy the cluster.
Note
The number of entries matching your current search and filters is displayed beneath the table, for example, Matched 46 out of 138 Logs.
Searching the logs
To find a specific log entry, perform the following steps:
Click the Logs tab.
In the Search box, enter the text to search for, such as a property name or an IP address.
Review the entries displayed. The match count beneath the table updates to reflect your search.
Clear the Search box to display all entries again.
Redeploying the cluster
Use Redeploy when no changes are required to the deployment configuration and you only need to run the deployment again.
Redeploy uses the existing deployment configuration. If any setting needs to change, delete the deployment and start a new one instead.
To run the deployment again, perform the following steps:
Click the Logs tab and review the entries to identify the cause of the failure.
Resolve the problems identified in the logs.
Click Redeploy.
Deleting the cluster deployment and starting a new deployment
Use Delete when changes are required to the deployment configuration.
To remove the cluster deployment and deploy again, perform the following steps:
Click Delete.
Start a new deployment and provide the corrected configuration. For details, see Deploying Kyvos Resources on GCP using Kyvos Manager
