Overview

After Query Engine segments are created, you can assign semantic models to specific segments from the Resource Allocation page. Mapping semantic models to segments allows you to direct queries to the Query Engines associated with the selected segment.

  • By default, semantic models that are not explicitly mapped to a segment are assigned to the Default Segment.

  • Ensure that the sum of the node counts configured for all segments does not exceed the maximum node count defined for the Query Engines.

Note

This feature is applicable only to Azure Enterprise deployments with multiple segments.

Map Semantic Models to Segments

After Query Engine segments are configured, Kyvos users can map Semantic Models to segments by following these steps:

  1. In the navigation pane, click Setup > Resource Allocation. The Resource Allocation page is displayed.

  2. The page lists the configured Query Engine segments and the semantic models available for mapping.

  3. In the Semantic Models pane, locate the semantic model that you want to assign.

  4. Drag and drop the semantic model onto the required segment.

  5. To remove a semantic model from a segment, drag it outside the segment area onto the blank canvas. The semantic model is assigned to the Default Segment.

  6. Click Save to apply the changes.

Note

A semantic model can be assigned to only one segment at a time.
