Collaborative Editing
Overview
Kyvos supports collaborative editing by allowing multiple users to work on the same entity (dataset, semantic model, etc.) simultaneously without enforcing edit locks. It provides visibility into active users, detects concurrent modifications, and offers conflict resolution and merge capabilities to help users manage and reconcile changes efficiently.

You can view collaborative editing indicators that inform users when an entity is opened or being edited by others, without enforcing edit locks.
Click the collaborative icon () to view the number of users working on the entity with their status. The following image illustrates the icon and options for a semantic model. However, the same behavior and appearance apply to all supported entities.
Resolving Conflict During Save
When you try to work on or save a dataset, dataset relationship, or data security entity that has already been modified by another user, a dialog box prompts you to resolve the conflict:
Save Anyway – Overwrites the other user’s changes with your current changes
Save As – Creates a new copy of the dataset with your changes
Fetch & Merge – Opens a diff viewer that allows you to review differences, merge changes, and save the final version.
When the conflicting entity is a semantic model or an AI space, the following box dialog box is displayed to resolve conflict.
Keep Mine – Retains your current changes and overwrites the conflicting version.
Keep Theirs – Discards your changes and keeps the other user’s version.
Merge – Combines changes from both versions before saving.
Fetch & Merge – Opens a diff viewer, allowing you to review the highlighted differences. Click Mark as Resolved to merge changes before saving the final version.
