Conversational analytics using any source

This section explains how to use conversational analytics with any Kyvos source, enabling users to enter natural-language queries across diverse data sources. It describes supported interaction patterns, configuration requirements, and steps for interpreting and processing queries, delivering insights without requiring technical query syntax or predefined semantic models.

Important

The user interaction for Kyvos Dialogs is the same in both the Web and Desktop interfaces. However, the screenshots for the Kyvos Dialogs Desktop and Web applications may differ. For demonstration purposes, the Web-based user interface is used to illustrate the functionality of Kyvos Dialogs.

When you initiate a chat session without access to an AI Space, the chat session is not associated with any specific entity.

In this scenario, when you submit a query, the system automatically identifies and selects the most relevant semantic model and executes the query accordingly.

  1. To start a conversation using any source, click the list and select Any Source.

  2. Type your query in the text box and click the Submit button.

  3. You will get a list of semantic models that match your input. Select the required semantic model and start conversational analytics.

  4. The predefined questions related to the selected semantic models are displayed. The predefined questions are displayed only when the key elements are defined in Conversational Analytics Metadata.

  5. Select the question, and you will get a visualization and key insight. To modify your input visualization to meet your business requirements, use the additional options.

  6. You can also change the semantic model at any time. To change the semantic model, click …More. The Change Semantic Model dialog is displayed. Select the semantic model and click Change. On the confirmation dialog, click Continue.

  7. For quick assistance with using Kyvos Dialogs, a set of tips is displayed. Click the tips icon ( ) and read the instructions.

  8. To save your chat session, click Save. The Save dialog box is displayed.

    1. Click Add Workbook. The Add Workbook dialog box is displayed. You can also add a new folder to save your chat session instead of saving it in the workbook. To do this, click Add Folder. A new folder will be created.

    2. Add a unique name in the Workbook Name text box and click Add. The workbook will be added to the folder. After saving the workbook, the chat session will display in the Recent pane.

    3. To create a copy of the chat session, click the Save as option to save the chat.
