Additional Features and Enhancements
Event-Based query performance analysis dashboard
Introduces an interactive dashboard in Kyvos Visualization to analyze the query performance of Kyvos semantic models based on selected event dates. This dashboard helps users compare query performance before and after significant events, such as system upgrades or configuration changes.Git integration enhancements
Git Integration for AI Spaces and Workbooks
Supports pulling and pushing AI Space objects and Workbooks between Git repositories and the Kyvos repository.Git provider enhancements
Adds support for GitHub and Bitbucket providers in Git connections.Git branch creation from Kyvos
Supports creating Git branches directly from Kyvos during push operations.
Download support for managed ZooKeeper logs
Supports for downloading managed Zookeeper logs through the terminal, similar to Analytical Server log downloads. Users can also configure theINFOorDEBUGlog level in thelogback.xmlfile from the ‘Manage Configuration File’ page in Kyvos Manager for troubleshooting and diagnostics.Query Engine segmentation enhancements
Added support for grouping Query Engines into dedicated segments and mapping semantic models to those segments, enabling better workload isolation and more predictable query performance. This release also introduces segment-level memory configuration, providing finer-grained control over resource allocation and optimization at the Query Engine segment level.Tier-based command execution for system monitoring
Added support for tier-based command execution through the ‘Manage Configuration file’ page in Kyvos Manager. Monitoring commands can now be configured insystem_config.json, enabling flexible, configuration-driven system monitoring without modifying the monitoring script. This enhancement simplifies diagnostic customization and improves troubleshooting of memory, performance, and operating system-level issues.Upgraded Apache Tomcat version
Kyvos and Kyvos Manager have been upgraded to Apache Tomcat 10.1.55.
Cloud Support Enhancements
Centralized Kyvos Managed Storage for Logs in AWS and GCP
Upload logs and dump files from Kyvos Manager to secure Kyvos-managed storage to speed diagnostics, simplify diagnostic data collection, and enable faster access for troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA).Red Hat Enterprise Linux version upgrade for Azure and GCP
Upgrades the base RHEL version to 9.7 in Azure and GCP as part of platform and vulnerability remediation enhancements. This update applies to new deployments only and does not impact existing deployments.Compute Server Log Archival Enhancements
Enhanced Compute Server log archival to include heap dump files generated during Out-of-Memory (OOM) exceptions, simplifying troubleshooting and improving root cause analysis.
AWS Enhancements
Cross-account access support for multiple Athena environments
Supports cross-account access to multiple Athena environments using AWS IAM Role ARN–based authentication for secure access across AWS accounts.
Azure Enhancements
New Kubernetes cluster creation for Disaster Recovery
Supports creating a new Kubernetes (K8S) cluster and recovery resources for Disaster Recovery (DR) using Template Specs in Azure Enterprise Cloud.Security enhancements with automated deployments
Implements vulnerability remediation enhancements, including support for Generation 2 (Gen2) VMs, Trusted Launch security features, and Data Access Authentication Mode for OS and data disks.
Kyvos Manager Enhancements
Critical notifications for non-interactive activities
Added support for critical event notifications in the Kyvos Manager notification (bell icon) for non-interactive activities, improving visibility into non-recoverable failures and preventing silent operation failures. Notifications are generated for:Bundled or installed PostgreSQL dump creation failures
Snapshot push failures
Standby PostgreSQL replication failures
Usability Enhancements
Enhanced user experience for AI Space
Enhances AI Space web pages with a more intuitive, streamlined User Interface.Collaborative editing for AI Spaces
Enables concurrent editing for AI Spaces with conflict detection, compare and merge support, and flexible save options.
New Properties
This release comes with the following new property:
ANALYTICAL_STORE_HDFS_CLIENT_MODE: Specifies the HDFS client mode for the analytical store. Supported values are
JNIandNATIVE.kyvos.query.sql.simplify.exprFilter: Controls the simplification of expression filters for SQL queries on MDX-based calculations.
API Enhancements
This release comes with the following REST APIs enhancements:
JSON input support for Kyvos REST APIs
Supports JSON-based inputs for existing Kyvos REST APIs for the following objects while maintaining backward compatibility with existing XML-based inputs and behavior:
Behavior Changes
Mandatory use of Subject Alternative Name (SAN)-Enabled TLS Certificates
From Kyvos release 2026.5 onwards, all clouds Enterprise, SaaS, and Marketplace deployments running with JRE 17 must use SAN-enabled TLS certificates. The certificate's Subject Alternative Name (SAN) extension must include the IP addresses and/or hostnames of all Analytical Server, Web Portal, Query Engine, compute master (if applicable) and Kyvos Manager nodes. For more details, click here.
Note: Certificates that do not contain the required SAN entries are not supported. Hence, users must validate and update their certificates before upgrading to this release.Enhanced auto-scaling
Enhanced auto-scaling to support hybrid scaling schedules, enabling time-based and load-based scaling to be configured across different time windows within the same day. This provides greater flexibility in managing resource allocation based on predictable and dynamic workload patterns.Fixed Query Engine Capacity Scaling
Fixed Query Engine capacity scaling behavior has been enhanced. During time-based scaling operations, queries are held until the scaling activity is complete, ensuring uninterrupted execution. In addition, all Query Engine virtual machines are now upgraded simultaneously, resulting in improved scaling efficiency and faster query execution.Username refinement for SSO authentication
Previously, username refinement was applied to all authentication types, including username/password authentication. Username refinement is now applied only for SSO-based authentication when the propertyREFINE_USERNAME_FOR_SSO=yesis configured inkyvosclient.properties.
Deprecated items
Kyvos Dialogs with semantic model
Kyvos Dialogs no longer supports conversational analytics directly on semantic models. Kyvos Dialogs now supports conversational analytics only through AI Space.
Existing chat sessions created on semantic models will continue to work with limited backward compatibility support.XML-based inputs for Kyvos REST APIs
XML-based inputs for Kyvos REST APIs are deprecated. JSON-based inputs are now supported for the following objects:Datasets
