This section details how to configure dashboard properties in Kyvos to customize the dashboard appearance, theme, layout settings, and mobile compatibility.

To configure the dashboard, you can set Dashboard properties and settings for Mobile layout.

Setting Dashboard Properties

You can setting the following properties on the Dashboard:

To set dashboard properties, perform the following steps.

1. Click Properties.

2. Choose Canvas Settings to design dashboard. Specify the layout of the worksheets on the dashboard. See the https://docs.support.kyvosinsights.com/wiki/spaces/KD20261/pages/775667530 section for more details.

3. Select the enable checkbox to support dashboard for mobile devices.
   See the Setting Mobile layout section.

4. Select a Theme from the list or None. If None is selected the Workspace theme is applied.

5. Select a Background Color if you want to use a custom color other than that loaded from the theme.

6. Select a Color Palette for the dashboard charts from the list.

7. Select a Widget Loader style from any of the two options. The selected icon will be displayed while Kyvos fetches data from the server.

8. Set the Margin for the dashboard card. You can also specify different margin values for all four sides using the dotted square option.

9. Specify the Widget Gap and Widget Shadow values entering a value in pixels.

10. Specify whether to shrink cards that have no data by clicking the Shrink widgets in case of no data checkbox. It is not recommended to make design changes like adding cards, repositioning cards, or resizing cards in the dashboard layout if some cards are shrunk due to no data condition.

11. Click the link Custom CSS to do advanced customization of the appearance.

12. Click X at the top of the panel to close the Dashboard Properties pane.

Setting Mobile Layout

Click Properties, and navigate to the Mobile Layout View section. Select the enable checkbox to mobile layout. By enabling it, a default mobile layout will be automatically applied whenever the viewport size is 480 pixels or less than it in view mode. The default mobile layout for a dashboard will arrange all cards in a single vertical column, inheriting properties from the parent dashboard and widgets.

This feature ensures the dashboard's compatibility with mobile devices. You can also utilize the Customize feature to tailor the dashboard layout. There are other Dashboard properties that help designers to:

• Adjust canvas width: A canvas width of 720px is mobile-compatible. Exceeding this width considers desktop dimensions.

• Show or hide widgets.

• Select themes, widget gaps, and shadows.

• Define widget properties such as titles, view options, styles, and margins.

Points to know

• The mobile layout will be applied only when the screen size is 480px or less, which is the default screen size for mobile devices set in the portal.properties file. You can modify the default screen size via Kyvos Manager in the portal.properties file.

  • To configure the Mobile screen size, perform the following steps.

    1. Click the toolbox and then go to Utilities > Manage Configuration Files.

    2. First, download the existing file. Make the changes in the portal.properties file and then upload it again.

    3. Click Save. The value you have set it for mobile layout will be displayed in the Mobile Layout View section.

• By default, the Mobile dashboard adopts a Scale to Width layout, which cannot be altered within the dashboard.

• The Mobile dashboard data can also be exported to PDF, image, or CSV formats.

• Filters on the Mobile dashboard are presented differently compared to other cards. Instead of being displayed as cards, filters appear as a list, expandable or collapsible as required. For multiple filters or values, arrange them in a list format to perform specific actions.
