Adding page breaks for Dashboard

The page break feature allows for the export of multiple pages. It provides options to customize page breaks according to your needs. With this feature, you can set the height for automatically generated page breaks to ensure uniformity. Page breaks are inserted at specified intervals automatically, with a default height of 1000 pixels. The size of the page break, in pixels, can be adjusted when setting breakpoints.

Additionally, at the time of export, you can include page breaks for PDF, or when you share an email. You can also save the page break value that you have set.

  1. Page breaks will not be available in the mobile view.

  2. Dashboards with breakpoints can be exported as PDFs and attached as PDFs in an email.

  3. Multiple-page export is only applicable for PDFs.

To add a page break, perform the following steps.

  1. From the Toolbox, choose Workbooks and select a workbook.

  2. Create or select an existing dashboard.

  3. In the Properties pane, select the Page Break for Dashboard option.

    1. None: Use this option when no page breaks are applied.

    2. Auto: Use this option when page breaks are applied at constant intervals (min 100px). You can also adjust the height of the page breaks by using the Height list.

    3. Custom: Use this option to add page breaks manually. You can hover over the page and drop the indicator to set the page break.

Note

  • The minimum applicable value is 50px.

  • Using the Show header, footer & page breaks on dashboard checkbox, you can control the visibility of the header, footer, and page break configurations on the dashboard. If you clear the checkbox, any previously applied configurations remain active; it simply hides the interface that displays these settings on the dashboard.

  • To export in multiple pages with header and footer, enable the Export in multiple pages checkbox.

  • Configuration for the header, footer, and page breaks must be applied, meaning page breaks should not be set to None, and valid page breaks must be present on the dashboard. Additionally, exporting in multiple pages is only applicable for PDFs; this option will not be available when the file format is set to Image or CSV.
